“This dark ambient work fused with piano revolves around the concept of the "return of an ominous figure who has disappeared after a long absence." This shapeshifting being can present itself as your most sought-after prize or something of great disgust - I almost imagine something like It from the titular novel and later movies.” - Steve Gullotta, Brutal Resonance
"The Harbinger" is a Dark Ambient piano based work. It portrays a return of an ominous figure who has disappeared after a long absence. The Harbinger bears knowledge, wonder, and dread, as it can shapeshift into the absolutely desirable or the utmost undesirable in the eye of the beholder. Able to predict and summon future events, The Harbinger has left everyone frozen in fear, knowing the inevitable yet not knowing when it will happen.
"Doppleganger" is a work about one who realizes that their malicious body double has taken their place while they, themselves, remain trapped within the limbo inside their unconscious mind. It's an experimental, brooding, suspenseful work that builds up into a chaotic frenzy before ending on the motif it starts with. Musical elements incorporated throughout include Avant-Garde, atonal Piano, Metal guitars, tribal-esque, percussive drum patterns, and Dark Ambient soundscapes serving as a subtle overtone to enhance the eeriness. It captures heavier musical sensibilities while bringing out the distinctly Horror and Halloween themed elements that symbolizes what Cucurbitophobia is all about.
